Creating a Transparent Organization:

Structuring a Positive Climate for the Development
of Creativity in the Workplace

Good ideas can come from any level in the corporate chain of command. Leaders who think “outside the box” encourage open communication between all employees while seeking creative input and unconventional solutions to challenges. Emphasizing mutual respect and reinforcing the idea that everyone contributes will result in a vital and successful company.

The PrivateBank encourages the idea of “worker ownership” and cultivates a strong sense of community in the workplace. This style of leadership is highlighted in an engaging article by Dr. Joseph P. Cangemi and Dr. Richard L. Miller, from the Department of Psychology at Western Kentucky University, Bowling Green. Dr. Cangemi and Dr. Miller are active faculty members at WKU, as well as authors of articles and books addressing leadership issues in today’s business world.

Our profound “Thanks” to Dr. Cangemi for graciously allowing us to reproduce the article, “Creating a Transparent Organization: Structuring a Positive Climate for the Development of Creativity in the Workplace.”
